Blackstone River Fest

50 Years of Zap the Blackstone!
In August 2022 Upper Blackstone staff participated in events celebrating of 50 years since the ZAP the Blackstone cleanup. The River Fest at River Bend Farm, Uxbridge was a great success with folks interested to know more about how wastewater treatment works. Staff also helped with some games including a demonstration on how 'flushable' wipes are not really flushable because they don't break down in wastewater treatment and can clog pipes and destroy equipment.
